Yemen's Houthi movement said its military chief of staff Mohammed al-Ghamari has been killed. The Iran-backed group said the chief and his teenage son died "while fulfilling...duties". Ghamari "died of wounds" which he sustained during an Israeli air strike in Yemen's capital Sanaa in late August, said Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz.
