Yes Bank has received a tax demand notice worth ₹2,209.17 crore from the Income Tax Department for AY20. The bank said it had received refund for the assessment year and that details regarding its total income remain unchanged in the latest reassessment order by the department. Thus, the bank said the notice "prime facie appears to be 'without any basis'".
