Yes Bank will stay away from lending to sectors most impacted by COVID-19 in the current financial year, CEO and MD Prashant Kumar said. "There are two or three sectors...we wouldn't like to go into, like hospitality, tours and travels and real estate," he said. The bank added 1.5 lakh new CASA customers during the second COVID-19 wave, Kumar added.

India summoned Saad Ahmad Warraich, Charge d'Affaires at Pakistan's High Commission in Delhi, after Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, reports said. He has reportedly been given the formal persona non grata note for all Pakistani military diplomats. This came after India declared all Pakistan High Commission advisors persona non grata (unwelcome), in response to the attack.

SRH wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan walked off against MI thinking he edged delivery to MI wicketkeeper Ryan Rickelton during their IPL 2025 match on Wednesday. The umpire was about to give wide, however, Ishan walked off and replays showed he hadn't edged the delivery. "Strange," a fan tweeted. Another wrote, "He should've taken DRS as umpire didn't declare him out."

Under Indus Waters Treaty, Pakistan was granted unrestricted use of Indus, Chenab and Jhelum, while India was allowed unrestricted use of Ravi, Beas and Sutlej. India suspended the treaty following Pahalgam terror attack. Pakistan could lose access to 135 million acre-feet of water annually, which feeds farms of Pakistan's Punjab and Sindh. It can trigger widespread drought and food shortages.

PSX website is under maintenance until further notice." The exchange had closed over 1,300 points, or 1.10% lower at 1.17 lakh points on Wednesday. India's 5-point retaliation includes suspension of Indus Water Treaty.

Indian government announced on Wednesday that the Integrated Check Post at the Attari-Wagah border in Punjab's Amritsar district has been closed with immediate effect. The Pakistani nationals who have crossed over with valid documents have been directed to return before May 1, 2025. India has also asked all armed forces to "maintain high vigil" after the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

Pakistanis can't travel to India, those having SVES visas must leave within 48 hrs: MEA

The MEA said on Wednesday that Pakistani nationals will not be permitted to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) after the Pahalgam terror attack. "Any SVES visas issued in the past to Pakistani nationals are deemed cancelled. Any Pakistani national currently in India on SVES visa has 48 hours to leave India," MEA added.

India suspends Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan

External Affairs Ministry has announced that the government has suspended the Indus Water Treaty, which it had signed with the Pakistan government in 1960. The treaty gives control over the waters of 'Eastern Rivers' Beas, Ravi and Sutlej to India and of 'Western Rivers' Indus, Chenab and Jhelum to Pakistan. Pakistan is downstream along all the rivers.

Top level meeting on security, chaired by PM Modi over J&K terror attack, ends after 2 hrs

A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) called over the Pahalgam terror attack, which was chaired by PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday at his residence, ended after two hours. The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval. At least 26 people were killed.
