In the last three years, 34,994 leprosy-affected persons with disabilities in Uttar Pradesh received ₹3,000 monthly pensions under the Yogi government’s welfare initiative. Under the Leprosy Pension Scheme 12,692 beneficiaries were covered in the first quarter of 2025–26 alone, reflecting improved transparency and timely service delivery.
