India's year-on-year inflation rate based on the All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) for March 2025 over March 2024 stood at 3.34%, the government said on Tuesday. There is a decline of 27 basis points in the headline inflation of March 2025 in comparison to February 2025. It is the lowest year-on-year inflation after August 2019, the government added.

A 46-year-old air hostess who was on ventilator support at a private hospital's ICU in Gurugram claimed she was sexually assaulted by an unidentified hospital employee on April 6. She'd gotten admitted as she fell ill after swimming in a pool of a hotel she was staying in. She told her husband about the assault after being discharged on Sunday.
