In a bid to take pressure off creators, YouTube will remove the exact count of subscribers visible to the public on channels with 1,000 or more followers from September. YouTube aims to "create consistency" across its various apps and interfaces, while also addressing creator concerns about stress and wellbeing. Instagram removed the visible 'like' counts in six countries in July.
