Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath has invested $500,000 in home appliances startup, Up, through its investment arm Rainmatter. Through this, the Bengaluru-based startup has secured a total of $1.3 million in pre-seed funding round. Co-founders of Ather Energy, Unacademy, Entrepreneurs India and Stanford Angels participated in the fundraise. Mahek Mody and Mohit Sharma, IIT Bombay alumni, co-founded Up.
