Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath said the company is profitable as it never spent on acquiring customers. Speaking at India Fintech Conclave, Kamath said, "When we started our business there was no big ambition...Business became profitable in the third year onwards...If you want the word of mouth to continue happening, you have to do something different and that's what we did."
