Online food delivery startup Zomato has acquired Lucknow-based drone delivery startup TechEagle Innovations. Founded in 2015 by IIT-Kanpur alumnus Vikram Singh during his college days, TechEagle works on custom-made drones capable of carrying loads up to five kilograms. This comes after the Ministry of Civil Aviation recently legalised commercial use of drones in India from January 1, 2019.
