Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg spied on encrypted traffic of rival Snapchat under a project known internally as 'Project Ghostbusters', according to unsealed court filings. Zuckerberg initiated the project in 2016 after becoming frustrated with Snapchat's privacy measures. Meta used engineers of Onavo, an Israeli firm it acquired in 2013, to develop kits for 'man-in-the-middle' monitoring.
