Zydus Cadila cuts price of COVID-19 drug Remdesivir by 70% to ₹899 a vial
Zydus Cadila has reduced the price of its generic version of Remdesivir by nearly 70% from ₹2,800 to ₹899 for a 100 mg vial. The drug, sold under the brand name Remdac, is used to treat severe COVID-19 patients. Zydus launched Remdesivir's cheapest generic version in August 2020 after it got a licence from Gilead to manufacture it in India.
