The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) earned ₹1,038 crore through cash offerings from 2.68 crore devotees in 2016-17, said TTD Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao on Friday. The TTD, which manages the Lord Venkateswara shrine in Tirupati, also sold nearly 10.5 crore laddoos during the financial year. Notably, the TTD earlier approved an annual budget of ₹2,858 crore for 2017-18.
