The Department of Space has been allocated ₹12,543.91 crore in the Budget 2023-24, over 8% down from ₹13,700 crore allocated to the department in Budget estimates 2022-23. However, the latest allocation was higher than the revised FY23 allocation of ₹10,530 crore. The capital outlay for space research for FY24 stands at ₹6,356.81 crore.
