Nearly three lakh vehicles were found violating speed limit on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway in the last one year after CCTV cameras were installed on the corridor to monitor speed. As per the Highway Safety Patrol, fines worth ₹29.85 crore were collected from the violators during this period. Last year, 11 speed-monitoring cameras were installed at vantage points on the highway.
