Approximately ₹5.78 crore of cash belonging to the Reserve Bank of India was recently stolen from a moving train transporting money from Salem to Chennai in Tamil Nadu. The robbers reportedly cut through the roof of the railway coach booked by the RBI that carried approximately ₹340 crore cash in 220 cartons and escaped with some packages.
