₹93,000 crore wiped off from HDFC Bank's market value in a day

HDFC Bank's shares slumped over 8% on Wednesday, the most in nearly four years after its third-quarter net interest margin missed analysts' estimates. The plunge wiped off nearly ₹93,000 crore from the bank's market capitalisation, NDTV Profit reported. It also triggered a slide in financial services stocks, dragging down benchmark indices. Sensex crashed 1,628 points to close at 71,500.
