Whale living with dolphins found to learn their language

A Russia-based study has found that a beluga whale imitated dolphins' signature whistles whereas one of its own calls seemed to disappear within two months of living with three adult dolphins and a calf. The beluga regularly swam along with the young dolphin, said the researchers. Previous studies have found belugas imitating sounds like human speech, birdsong, and computer-generated noises.
