The CM Vijay-led TVK government won 144 votes during the floor test in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. These included 105 TVK MLAs, 25 AIADMK MLAs, five Congress MLAs, two MLAs each from CPI, CPI(M), VCK, and IUML, and one vote from expelled AMMK MLA. Twenty-two MLAs voted against Vijay while five stayed neutral. The 59 DMK MLAs staged a walkout.
