The Iranian warship, IRIS Dena, that was attacked by the US submarine was sailing at the invitation of Sri Lanka, Iranian ambassador to Sri Lanka Alireza Delkhosh recently said. Delkhosh added that the ship was "not ready for war and it was not here for war". The ship, which left India after a naval exercise, was attacked near Sri Lanka.
