The Ministry of Labour & Employment has issued a nationwide advisory to protect workers from the intense heatwave. The ministry has asked all states and UTs to reschedule working hours for workers, ensure adequate drinking water, and make provisions for rest areas and cooling of workplaces. They have also been asked to ensure regular health check-ups of workers.
