Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law on forgiving debt for new army recruits signing up to fight in Ukraine. The law states that up to 10 million roubles (₹81 lakh) of debt arrears will be forgiven for those signing contracts with the Russian Defence Ministry to fight in Ukraine for at least a year, beginning on December 1.
