NCLT's 5-member bench begins hearing in Chandra's repayment plan

Insolvency tribunal NCLT on Tuesday began hearing media baron Subhash Chandra’s repayment plan in a personal insolvency case involving claims exceeding ₹22,000 crore. A five-member bench, formed for the first time in NCLT's history, is led by President Justice Anupinder Singh Grewal. Lenders argued that Chandra's proposed ₹6.5-crore payout was "unviable and unlawful" during the hearing.
