OpenAI Foundation announced an initial $250 million (about ₹2,400 crore) commitment to help workers and economies manage AI-driven disruption. The funding will support research on AI’s impact on jobs, worker assistance programs, and efforts to spread AI’s economic benefits more widely. OpenAI said rising ​use of AI tools capable of automating tasks is creating urgent challenges for labour markets.
