After TMC MP Mahua Moitra questioned the West Bengal Police over the encounter of an accused in the rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in Baruipur, BJP leader Anirban Ganguly called her "mentally unstable". He alleged that Mahua remained silent on several similar incidents during the TMC's rule, claiming party leaders were involved and "their leaders justified the incidents".
