PM Modi, while addressing a rally in Kerala, said, "False rumours are being spread that seats will be reduced in South Indian states due to population control." Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, and some other states have done well in population control, he added. It will be ensured that their seats are protected, he further said.
