Several police personnel were injured, and multiple vehicles were torched after a coal mining protest escalated into violence in the Tamnar area of Chhattisgarh's Raigarh district on Saturday. A video showed the SHO of Tamnar Police Station, Kamla Pusam, falling unconscious after being assaulted by a group of women protesters. People were protesting against the Gare Pelma Sector-I coal block.
