Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla on Thursday refuted the allegations of bias during house proceedings, stating that the rules of the Parliament apply to all, even the Prime Minister. "Even the Prime Minister must obtain permission from the Speaker before delivering a speech," Birla said. He added that lawmakers must follow rules while exercising freedom to speech in the House.
