What is 'assisted dying' & which countries have legalised it?

Assisted dying is where a medical professional helps a terminally ill patient to end their own life. France is the most recent country to pass legislation allowing an individual who suffers from serious, incurable, and permanent illness to receive lethal substances. Medically assisted dying is legalised in 13 countries, including Austria, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Colombia.
