German Ambassador to India Philipp Ackermann has switched to an electric car. To mark the occasion, Ackermann tied "nimbu-mirchi" and smashed a coconut, which is believed to ward off evil and invite good luck in Indian culture. Explaining his inspiration behind the switch, Ackermann said, "In winters...pollution gets really bad and I felt...we should...contribute to reduce pollution."
