EU pledges €200 million Greenland investment

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has pledged €200 million (₹2,194-crore) ​of investments in Greenland. She arrived in Greenland on Sunday for a two-day visit and met Danish PM and Greenlandic counterpart. Her visit comes after threats of US annexation by President Donald Trump. The investment would focus on critical minerals, satellite communications and renewable energy sectors.
