X has uncovered a network of 200,000 accounts, including 200 suspected inauthentic accounts posting content about AI data centres. The posts allegedly sought to influence debates over US AI and energy policy, highlighting concerns about electricity prices and power grids. The accounts also shared AI-generated cartoons portraying data centre operators as profiting while households bear the costs.
