J'khand floods destroy Class 5 girl's books, govt sends new books in 24 hrs

After heavy rains and floods washed away Class 5 girl Kritika Kumari's books, she flagged her concern at a Jan Samadhan programme. "Sir, my books and notebooks have been washed away due to Koel River floods...I can't study anymore", said Kritika to Deputy Commissioner Dilip Pratap Singh. Within 24 hours, Kritika received new textbooks, a school uniform, and other essentials.
