The upcoming Union Budget should introduce a minimum pension guarantee and a well-structured pension system to ensure basic financial security, according to an SBI report. It also recommended higher tax deduction limits for NPS contributions and a revamp of EPFO in line with NPS. It further suggested mandatory NPS deductions for private sector employers above certain thresholds.
