Nepal flood death toll rises to 1,355

Nepal’s death toll from the August 26 flash floods has risen to 1,355, according to authorities. The country observed national mourning on Monday, with flags flown at half-mast. Joint rescue operations by the Nepali Army, Nepal Police and APF have saved 13,391 people nationwide. Prime Minister Balen Shah said 82 security personnel remain unaccounted for following the devastating floods.
