UP govt asks teachers to donate ₹800-₹1,000 fodder for cows in shelters

Authorities in UP's Sant Kabir Nagar district asked block education officers and government school teachers to donate at least one quintal of fodder to feed cows kept in state-run shelters. One quintal of fodder reportedly costs around ₹800-₹1,000. In a similar directive, schools in Bareilly's Nawabganj have been asked to donate 46 kg of straw each for destitute/helpless cattle.
