5 crore Indian kids lack sanitation services in schools: UN Report

India had 50 million (five crore) children without access to sanitation services in schools as of 2025, UN's 'Progress on drinking water, sanitation and hygiene in school' report said. India had the highest number of such children out of the global total of 244 million. The country is on track to achieve coverage of drinking water in schools by 2030.
