India sends 47 lakh litres of diesel to B'desh via Friendship Pipeline

India has sent nearly 47 lakh litres of diesel to Bangladesh through the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline. This was the pipeline's 72nd consignment, which was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi and former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina in March 2023. Bangladesh has agreed to import around 20 lakh tonnes of diesel over 15 years, under a 2018 bilateral agreement.
