India exploring mines in Argentina for critical minerals

Union Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy said India is exploring mines in Argentina and in talks with other countries to secure critical minerals. MECL signed an MoU with Argentina's Catamarca province in 2025. India launched the National Critical Mineral Mission to secure lithium, cobalt, nickel, and rare earth elements for EVs, clean energy, and defence.
