The Supreme Court on Tuesday observed that the Islamic practice of Talaq-e-Hasan, in which a man can divorce his wife by pronouncing 'talaq' once a month for three months, is "Prima Facie...not so improper". A two-judge bench said, "(In the practice,) women also have an option. 'Khula' is there." As per Islamic law, women can divorce their husbands through 'Khula'.
