AIADMK candidate Leema Rose Martin, who is the richest candidate in Tamil Nadu Assembly elections with ₹5,863 crore family wealth, is leading from Lalgudi. As per the latest ECI data, she is leading by around 3,000 votes. TVK's Ku Pa Krishnan is currently second, while DMK's T Parivallal is third. Lalgudi seat has been DMK's stronghold since 2006.
