Man gets over ₹2.92 crore after crash leaves him 88% disabled, tribunal rejects no-helmet argument

A Delhi tribunal awarded over ₹2.92 crore to 32-year-old marketing executive Nilmani Chauhan, who suffered 88% permanent disability after a car hit his two-wheeler in 2020. Rejecting the insurer's contributory-negligence claim over Chauhan not wearing a helmet, the tribunal said traffic violation cannot constitute contributory negligence unless evidence shows it directly contributed to accident.
