Scientists developed an AI model that maps how different brain regions age after training it on 14,748 MRI scans from people aged 19 to 100. When tested on new scans, it identified accelerated ageing in Alzheimer's-linked regions such as the hippocampus and amygdala. It also found the frontal and temporal lobes, crucial for memory and decision-making, age faster.
