Soaps to get costlier as India's most valuable FMCG firm hikes prices

Hindustan Unilever (HUL), India's most valuable FMCG company, has hiked the prices of its soap portfolio, which includes key brands like Liril, Pears and Dove, NDTV Profit reported. The brands' prices have been increased by ₹2-3/100 grams, equalling 3-5% hikes across variants. HUL responded by claiming that prices were increased due to rising costs of crude, palm oil and plastics.
