Karnataka Deputy CM and Congress leader DK Shivakumar arrived in Assam ahead of the Assembly elections result on May 4, saying, “I am here to protect my MLAs...guide the MLAs...and...help the party." He added, "My party cadres are very confident...that the Congress alliance...will come to power." His visit comes as exit polls project an NDA victory in the 126-member Assembly.
