Nifty IT index plunged 2,722 points or 7% intraday on Wednesday to touch the day's low of 35,889 points. The BSE IT index also fell 2,435 points or 6.5%. The Indian IT sector is experiencing a significant sell-off today after the launch of new AI tools by US-based startup Anthropic. This is the sector's worst single-day sell-off since March 2020.
