Sugar futures set for biggest weekly gain since May 2025

Sugar futures in New York were headed for their biggest weekly gain of 6% since May 2025. Prices rose as much as 1.2% in early trading on Friday. The rebound was driven by tight supplies in India, while demand uncertainty, physical supply concerns and prospects of Brazilian mills shifting more cane toward sugar production added volatility.
