The Madhya Pradesh government banned Bank of Baroda for five years on Friday for allegedly mishandling Chief Minister Kisan Yojana's ₹1,751-crore funds, which caused "irreparable loss", CNBC-TV18 reported. The funds, which were supposed to be deposited with the Agriculture Department, were instead routed incorrectly through another treasury mechanism. The ban was, however, revoked within 24 hours.
