Private investment announcements rose to ₹56 lakh crore in FY26 from ₹37 lakh crore in the previous fiscal year, according to an SBI Research report. The increase suggests investment activity is picking up despite concerns about subdued private sector capital expenditure. Manufacturing accounted for the largest share of fresh investment proposals during the year.
