Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was asked about the Big Tech companies opposing the new rule to take down unlawful content within three hours of being notified. "Big Tech...have enough tools and technological prowess to implement this rule," said Vaishnaw, adding "actually three hours is a long period, it should be five minutes." The rule replaced the earlier 36-hour window.
