Melatonin hormone can help repair DNA damage: Study

A study published in 'Occupational & Environmental Medicine' found that melatonin hormone, which regulates sleep and is produced by the body in darkness can help repair DNA damage. Melatonin production is disrupted among people who work overnight leading to reduced DNA repair and risk of certain cancers, researchers said. They added that melatonin supplements could help repair their DNA damage.
